Jon is a self-taught, Bristol-based artist who uses oil paint to create emotive representations of streets and cities. Jon uses a variety of tools to build depth and texture into his paintings, with the aim of bringing out the colour and the drama of city lights juxtaposed against dark shadows, while also attempting to maintain a natural balance and harmony.

Jon’s home of Bristol is the original inspiration for his art, but recently he has expanded into a more abstracted style - veering away from a true representation and letting the painting tell him what it needs.
